The Christmas lights extravaganza had been inaugurated on the 18th of December 2021 for the general masses at Moolamyllliang Village, under Sutnga Elaka.
Moolamyllliang Village has been trying to rejuvenate it's environment, which has suffered from coal mining activities in the past decades. The village leaders had the vision and foresight to focus on more sustainable forms of livelihood like tourism.
The program was graced by Hon’ble Shri S.S. Syiemlieh, Deputy Commissioner East Jaintia Hills which coincides with the celebration of Meghalaya’s 50 years of Statehood.
