The SIAL 2021 was officially inaugurated today the 9th of December 2021 at New Delhi, with Meghalaya being it’s state partner.
The event was inaugurated in the presence of the SIAL members and dignitaries along with Smt. Rebecca V. Suchiang, IAS, Chief Secretary and Dr. Vijay Kumar D., IAS, Commissioner & Secretary, Govt. of Meghalaya.
The SIAL Innovation competition and event provides opportunities for the winning companies by offering them high visibility before, during and after the show with numerous contact opportunities.
The Government of Meghalaya and SIAL India are also working together to bring THE SECOND EDITION OF THE NORTH EAST FOOD SHOW 2022 Meghalaya in 2022.
It is one of NorthEast India’s biggest food innovation and food processing show that is focused on creating a Global platform to ‘Inspire Food Business’ for this part of the country.

Meghalayan Age - The Store was Inaugurated by Hon’ble Union Minister of Textiles, Shri Piyush Goyal in the presence of Hon’ble Chief Minister of Meghalaya, Shri Conrad K Sangma
The Meghalayan Age Store provides a platform for the curation of the best of craftsmanship, artistic vision and extraordinary stories from the state of Meghalaya. The store can be found at Gallery 9, Rajiv Gandhi Handicraft Bhavan, New Delhi.

The Umngot River was the location for the Umngot River Festival that was hosted by Dept. of Sports and Youth Affairs in collaboration with the Dept. of Arts and Culture at Shnong Pdeng, Dawki on the 3rd of December 2021.
The Umngot River Festival is part of the celebration of 50 years of statehood, a celebration signifying the growth of our state, Meghalaya. Come and be a part of the many celebrations that are coming soon!

The Directorate of Dairy Development along with Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Department, Government of Meghalaya celebrated National Milk Day on the 26th of November 2021 at Central Dairy, Mawiong.
The event was inaugurated by Shri. K. N. Kumar (IAS retd), Chairman, Meghalaya Farmer’s Empowerment Commission.
The National Milk Day celebration hosted various competition - Drawing, Essay, Poster Making and a 2min Video Making Competition; whose winners were announced at the event. The participants and guest were entertained by the various attractions, food stalls, live music and Free Milk Distribution.

With the theme of 'Sustainability in the Dairy Sector'.
This event is a part of celebrating Meghalaya's 50th year of statehood.
